Multilec Engineering provides electrical and mechanical services into the material handling equipment industry.
Engagement to perform the Preventative maintenance and inspections can be completed by completing a business risk profile. What is the risk to the business in the event of failure. From this a service and inspection frequency can be developed with quarterly, Biannually and Annual options.
Multilec Engineering technicians have extensive experience across a range of disciplines. We provide the experience to solve the problem as an overall solution. The electrical mechanical debate of who is responsible and the subsequent responsibility has provided the impetus for the training of our technicians.
Multilec Engineering has several companies that we partner with that offer the flexibility and diversity that is required for quick and effective solutions, such as electrical fault finding and repairs on all aspects of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic.
Equipment that has been designed and manufactured to fit a specific size, dimension and weight capacity can be problematic when the equipment becomes unreliable and or unsafe to operate. Multilec Engineering has successfully completed numerous upgrades of bespoke application equipment similar to the hoist pictured below.
Old equipment that is mechanically fit for use, although the electrical system is ageing, causing down time and does not meet an acceptable safety level; an electrical overhaul can bring these machines up to standard and fit for use again. As per below.
A heavy manually operated loading door has been removed and a fire rated galvanised curtain shutter has been fitted and integrated to the goods hoist electrical control system.
Design scope from the client of removing an operational hazard due to the weight and the physical manual requirement to operate the door to load the hoist. Operators now depress a button, and the roller shutter will open. Operational interlock is now active in the manner that the door can’t be manually opened when the car platform is not at the level, removing the risk of a fall from heights.
